The Tesla Model 3 is a battery electric mid-size sedan with a fastback body style built by Tesla, Inc., introduced in 2017.

Tesla announced a design refresh of the Model 3 on September 1, 2023, bringing a longer driving range, lower production costs, and technical improvements, and a restyled exterior and interior. During development, the refresh was codenamed "Project Highland".

The refreshed Model 3 improved range by approximately 10%, largely due to a more aerodynamic nose, a better rear diffuser, and specialized wheels. The drag coefficient was reduced to Cd=0.219. Interior upgrades include an 8-inch rear touchscreen, ventilated seats, and an enhanced sound system with up to 17 speakers.

Advanced technology features like Frequency Selective Damping and the HW4 camera processing unit provide a smoother ride and improved Autopilot performance with a wider field of view for safety.
