The XPeng P5 is a battery-powered compact executive sedan produced by the Chinese electric car company XPeng. It is the first mass-produced car to be equipped with lidar sensors for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
Distinguishing itself by a gently sloping roof line towards the short, slender ending of the rear part of the body, the P5 features LED technology headlights connected by a light strip. The passenger compartment follows a minimalist design, dominated by a 15.6-inch vertical multimedia system featuring the third-generation Xmart OS 3.0.
The P5 is renowned for its sleeping/cinema mode, where front seats lie flat to support an air bed. It also features an advanced LiDAR Technology autonomous driving system consisting of 32 sensors, including two LiDARs, 12 ultrasonic, and 5 microwave sensors, capable of high-resolution environment scanning.
